Gejala sosial dapat mempengaruhi tingkah laku individu dalam suatu masyarakat. Timbulnya gejala sosial di lingkungan masyarakat menjadi salah satu pertanda munculnya masalah sosial. Secara garis besar, gejala sosial bisa memberikan dampak positif dan negatif. Contoh dampak positifnya ialah muncul modernisasi. Sedangkan contoh dampak negatifnya bisa memunculkan berbagai permasalahan sosial, seperti pengangguran dan kemiskinan. Sebenarnya, apa yang dimaksud dengan gejala sosial?
